Fénelson Joseph marque son premier but avec le Cavaly de Léogane en match officiel.

Lors de la troisième journée du Championnat National de D1, l’AS Cavaly se rendait au Parc Sainte-Thérèse pour affronter le Don Bosco de Pétion-Ville. Au final, les deux équipes se sont quittées dos à dos sur le score 1-1 et ce qui a retenu le plus l’attention de plus d’un c’est l’ouverture du score du Cavaly AS par le biais de Fénelson Joseph qui a marqué son premier but en Championnat National de D1 sous la tunique du club léoganais. Le jeune et virevoltant ailier gauche léoganais tient enfin sa première réalisation après plusieurs ratées comme lors de cette rencontre face au Real Hope FA le week-end passé.

S’il est très aimé pour sa façon de déstabiliser les défenses adverses, son inefficacité devant les buts reste cependant son talon d’Achille. Celui qu’on surnomme « Ti Messi » pour sa conduite de balle et sa facilité à se défaire de ses opposants est très connu pour sa technique, sa vitesse mais surtout pour son imprévisibilité. Toutefois, devant le but, il est très maladroit. Arrivé au Cavaly en 2019, le natif de Ça-Ira a bien vite conquis le cœur des supporteurs du Cheval Rouge. Fin techniquement, hyper rapide, Fénelson Joseph est un joueur très difficile à marquer. Sa petite taille joue grandement en sa faveur. En le regardant jouer, on voit en lui le vrai Messi du FC Barcelone ; sa façon de faire bouger les lignes, ses appels de balles, ses percussions le rendent merveilleux comme joueur de football sauf qu’il lui manque l’instinct de tueur.

Après plusieurs saisons en D1, Fénelson Joseph a finalement réussi à marquer son premier but. C’est donc contre l’une des meilleures équipes du championnat qu’il a réussi cette performance et surtout contre l’un des meilleurs gardiens de but du pays – le valeureux Allan Jerôme. À l’image de cette action dangereuse conjurée par Emerson Tibert sous la pression de Gamboa, le Cavaly a orchestré une contre-attaque et tandis que José Machado s’appretait à controler le ballon, Fénelson – dans une position d’opportuniste – lui a volé le cuir avant d’ajuster une frappe du gauche qui laissait le portier pétion-villois sans réaction.

Si le score de parité (1-1) ne dérange pas trop le Cavaly qui perd une place au classement, pour l’ailier léoganais, c’est une perte énorme : « Je croyais qu’avec mon but, j’allais donner la victoire à mes frères mais malheureusement, à moins de deux minutes de la fin, on a concédé le but égalisateur ». Questionné sur son objectif personnel, Fénelson n’a pas passé par quatre chemins pour faire savoir qu’il va continuer à se donner à fond à l’entrainement afin d’aider le Cavaly. Il a conclu sa déclaration ainsi : « Je rêve aussi de décrocher un contrat à l’étranger, plus précisément en Europe, ce qui me permettra d’aider ma mère et toute ma famille ».

Le prochain pour le Cavaly sera ce mercredi au Parc Gérard Christophe contre l’AS Mirbalais en match avancé de la septième journée, car d’ici le mois de Mai à venir, le club léoganais va s’engager dans la Flow Caribbean Club Championship en République Dominicaine. Ce sera une belle occasion pour Fénelson Joseph de montrer de quoi il en est capable et que ce premier but n’était pas l’œuvre du hasard.
