La FHF et les abus sexuels ; l’enquête fait tomber de nouvelles têtes

Depuis bientôt un an, rester calmes est un luxe que ne peuvent pas se payer les dirigeants de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF). Si le journaliste français, Romain Molina, la figure principale de l’enquête concernant les abus sexuels sur les mineurs.es du Centre FIFA GOAL, avait auparavant annoncé que d’autres têtes vont tomber, c’est définitivement chose faite. Après le renvoi de l’ancien président Yves Jean-Bart à la tête de la FHF, la suspension de Nela Joseph –  superviseure des filles au centre (FIFA GOAL ndlr) – et celle du Directeur Technique National, M. Wilner Etienne, c’est désormais le tour du président de la Commission Nationale des Arbitres (CONA) de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football, M. Rosnick Grant.

Du haut de ses seize années passées à la CONA, M. Grant a été admis au poste de président de la dite commission en 2009 et vice-président de la FHF. Dans un article publié dans les colonnes du quotidien britannique, The Guardian, il est révélé que M. Grant a, à maintes reprises, utilisé le pouvoir qui lui est conféré pour harceler et abuser des arbitres féminins sous prétexte qu’il les aidera à être programmée comme arbitre au niveau de la ligue de football et à se procurer d’un visa américain. Néamoins, plusieurs plaintes ont été déposées contre lui auprès de la FIFA.

De ce fait, ce mercredi 10 février, la commission d’Éthique indépendante de la FIFA, dans une note, décide de suspendre à titre provisoire M. Grant de toute activité liée au football pour une durée de 90 jours. Comme a été le cas pour le Dr. Yves Jean-Bart, serait-ce le même sort pour M. Grant ? En attendant, le concerné est notifié à effet immédiat de cette décision.
